Since 2011, during this phase covered all the major events on the Egyptian street during the four years of Egypt’s tumultuous fast-changing political scene.
I started working as a professional journalist from the first academic year of my undergraduate studies at the faculty of Mass Communications in October University.In 2009, I joined Watany weekly newspaper, contributing with content of news and features in the politics section for two years.
In 2011, during Egypt’s popular revolution first spark, I joined the Multimedia section of the privately owned network of AlmasryAlyoum newspaper and website.
Also, I worked for 18 months as a television producer for “OnTube“, a daily show aired on the private TV channel ONTV, highlighting the most important videos captured by laymen, at a time when street journalism came under spotlight and started to gain high importance.
In 2013, I joined CBC channel as a reporter, handling the video content needed for the daily news show, “Lazm Nefham”.
I worked as a freelancer for a variety of international networks and agencies including (AP) Associated press Agency, Agence France Presse (AFP) and Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW), known as “Huna Soutak” broadcasting.
I have also conducted a set of video journalism workshops for young ambitious journalists and media students at Tahrir lounge, Goethe-institute Cairo, Al Ahram institute (ahrij),Daily News Egypt Newspaper, Ahram Canadian University and some NGOs like Mandara and Bokra.
